On Thursday evening, July 29, Rabbi Pohl’s adult education lecture/discussion entitled "Prayer as a Portal to the World to Come" will continue.  We will gather for Minha (the afternoon service) at 7:15 p.m. The lecture/discussion will follow and we will conclude with Ma-Ariv (the evening service) beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Our weekly Talmud Study will take place on Monday, August 2, at 9:30 AM.

Our weekly Torah Study and Discussion will take place on Thursday, August 5, at 9:30 AM.  This week we will review Parashat Re-eh with special emphasis on Deuteronomy 15:1--16:17. This is an open-ended discussion with contributions from all participants.  All individuals, regardless of background, are welcome to participate.  Please feel free to attend without advance RSVP.

Because the High Holy Days come early this year, work on the Yizkor - Book of Remembrance must also be completed early.  By Thursday, July 8 letters to the entire Kol Shalom mailing list will have gone out asking for lists of names to be included in the Book.  We need to have answers back as soon as possible but no later than Thursday, August 5th.  If you have questions or need help, email Seymour Alloy (salloy@verizon.net) or call him and leave a message.  If you haven't received your letter by Thursday, July 15th let him know and you'll get another
